BackgroundJim Ball and Jennifer Kuchta founded The Goals Institute in 1993. They had worked together previously at Venture America, a seed-stage venture capital firm that Jim co-founded. At The Goals Institute we create and publish books and other learning tools for use by organizations and individuals. We also create and provide learning experiences that include keynote speeches, seminars, workshops, self-study resources, and distance learning teleseminars. |

James R. BallJames Ball, Jim to everyone, is CEO and president of The Goals Institute. He provides keynote speeches and seminars on leadership, goal achievement, motivation, professionalism, customer service, and performance improvement for clients. He also assists clients in developing their goals and strategic plans. In addition, Jim is a mentor and advisor for a few high level executives. Jim previously was co-founder and CEO of Venture America, a venture capital firm that helped launch and develop twenty companies, including The Discovery Channel. Jim has been an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University where he co-founded GMU’s Entrepreneurial Institute, Inc., also known as The Century Club. Jim has a degree in accounting and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and National Speakers Association.

Jennifer KuchtaJennifer Kuchta (cook-ta) is vice president and publisher of The Goals Institute. She is a presenter and co-presenter for our seminars and workshops on time management, professionalism, goal achievement, and customer service. Jennifer also coordinates services for clients, and oversees the editing, printing, and production of our books and resource materials. Jennifer is co-author with Jim Ball of World-Class Customer Service and It's About TIME! and The Anacondas in Life. Previously Jennifer oversaw finance, administration, investor relations, and services and support of portfolio companies at Venture America. Before that, she was a marketing and customer support specialist for sales representatives of fine arts. She has an accounting degree from Michigan Technological University and is a member of several business organizations. |

Keep It Simple for Success®Jim Ball and Jennifer Kuchta are the creators and co-authors of the Keep It Simple for Success® series of books (KISS Books) published by The Goals Institute.
